KEMET’s safety certified film capacitors are specifically designed for conducted emissions attenuation in AC line filtering applications. The self healing capability of film capacitors makes them a great choice for safety across power lines as well as having internationally recognized safety certifications. These capacitors are well-suited for applications that require keeping potentially disruptive or damaging line transients and EMI out of susceptible equipment.

R53 X2

Metallized Polypropylene Film EMI Suppression Capacitor For Harsh Environment

 

R53 series is ideal for harsh environments and is AEC–Q200 qualified. Due to its miniaturized dimensions, this series is an excellent option in space-constrained applications.

  • X2 Class (IEC 60384-14)
  • THB Grade IIIB: 85°C, 85% R.H., 1,000h at 310VAC / 560VDC according to IEC 60384-14

Class IIB Harsh Environment

 

 

For worldwide use in electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression in across-the-line applications that require X2 safety classification. Typical applications include connection in series with the mains, capacitive power supplies and energy meters, with special emphasis in automotive applications for severe ambient conditions.

R4Y Y1

Metalized Polypropylene Y1-certified EMI suppression capacitor

 

The R4Y can be widely used in automotive, EV charging station, and general industrial applications where Y1 class safety is needed in a harsh environment.

R58 X1

The R58 is a radial metalized polypropylene X1 certified EMI suppression capacitor, featured with high voltage and high current in a harsh environment

 

Typical applications are the EMI filter stage (across the main) where X1 safety classification is needed. For example, energy storage, inverters, and general industrial where high THB performance (Grade-IIIB) and high current are required. R58 can also be used in automotive applications such as the HVDC EMI filters where >800VDC is required.​
