Greenville, South Carolina (March 28, 2006) - KEMET continues to expand our low ESR, conductive polymer portfolio with a new low profile case size! This month we are introducing the first T520U case (6032-15) part types! In addition, we are expanding our ESR lead with three new first to market 4mOhm T530 (Ultra Low ESR/High CV) part types!

  • KEMET now offers a new T520U case size (6032-15)! Four new part types are now available in this low profile design with capacitance ranges from 33 to 100 microfarads, in the 4 to 10 volt range. This new case size with a 1.5mm max case height and smaller footprint than the typical 7343 size, offers flexibility where space is restricted. These components are ideal for decoupling applications in notebooks, MP3 Players, Flat Panel Monitors and other small consumer devices such as PDA's, DSC's and cell phones.
  • KEMET now offers three new 4mOhm T530X case (7343-43) part types. These part types range from 330 to 1000 microfarads with voltages ranging from 2.5 to 10v. These 4mOhm part types are industry benchmarks for ESR in a conductive polymer part type. These components are ideal for applications that demand superior capacitance retention at high operating frequencies such as high end servers and high speed motherboards. These part types also have an unmatched ripple current capability of 8.2Arms!
  • These components are all available in RoHS compliant versions and are capable of meeting 3x reflow at the higher temperature (260C peak) Pb-free profiles!
