KEMET has once again demonstrated its ability to design and produce leading edge capacitance solutions with another first in polymer chip capacitors. The new 6 mohm versions of the T520 series have achieved an ESR value that until now could only be achieved with higher cost multiple anode series solutions. These new releases are currently available in a D (7343-31) case size with capacitance values in the range of 150-470mF and voltage ratings of 2.5 to 6.3 volts. The 6 mohm T520 series represents the lowest ESR available in the market today for this style of capacitor! These products are ideal for applications that demand high capacitance retention at high operating frequencies such as high end servers, high speed motherboards and notebook computers.
A higher capacitance offering is also now available in the recently released Low ESL T528 series. With a capacitance value of 470mF, this new release offers the highest capacitance value in the market today for low ESL polymer capacitors. This new T528 release is available in a Z case (7343-17) with two ESR levels (9 mohms and 12 mohms) and a 2.5 volt rating. The T528 Series combines ultra-low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) and high capacitance in a new package design that offers the lowest ESL (inductance) in the market for this type of product. This series is targeted for high-speed server and microprocessor decoupling--designs that are driving the demand for low-inductance chips.
