​​​​KEMET NetList Files - NetList

The files are collected in groups and compressed in Zip files. The CKT files are of the same format as the previous NetList files, and the CIR files will use ".ENDS" as the last line in each part type model file, and are of the filetype "CIR" - other than these two variations, they are exactly alike.

The 1st compressed file ("Ceramic MLC C0201-C0805 SMD NetList CKT Files") consists of the surface mount ceramic or MLCC part types “C0201-C0805” including C0201, C0402, C0603, and C0805. The second file ("Ceramic MLC C1206-C2225 SMD NetList CKT Files") consists of the surface mount ceramic or MLCC part types "C1206, C1210, C1632, C1812, C1825, C2220, and C2225". These include all dielectrics: C0G, X5R, X7R, X8L, X8R, Y5V, and Z5U, where applicable, and now include the C0G high voltage and high temperature (200°C) chips. ​ ​​​

Four capacitor arrays are in "Ceramic MLC CA0 Arrays SMD NetList CKT Files", these are of the 0612 chip size. The KPS series are chip capacitors with leadframes attached and these are all X7R located in "Ceramic MLC KPS1210-2220 SMD NetList CKT Files". Lastly the military "Mil-C-Prf" (CDR0 and CDR3 series) as well as the DSCC 03028 and 03029 series are located in "Ceramic MIL DSCC CDR SMD NetList CKT Files" compressed file.​

The aluminum-polymer capacitor (A700) files are contained in a separate zip file.

The tantalum commercial SMD capacitors, with MnO2 cathode systems include the T489 (lower Leakage), T491 (standard commercial), T494 (lower ESR limits), T495 (lower ESR by design), T496 (internally fused for fail-safe), T497 (high reliability), T498 (+150°C operation), T499 (+175°C operation), and T510 (ultra-low ESR by multiple anodes).

Military versions of the Tantalum-MnO2 devices include T4x9 (T409/CWR09, T419/CWR19, T429/CWR29)], T492 (CWR11), and T493 (COTS) capacitor types.

Tantalum with conductive-polymers (for lower ESR and non-ignition failures) include the capacitor types T520 (polymer rated to +105°C), T521 (high voltage polymers >16 Vdc), T522 (lower Leakage), T525 (rated to +125°C), T528 (facedown for low ESL and higher ripple current ), and the T530 (ultra-low ESR using multiple anodes and conductive polymer rated to +125°C).

Most recently added is the COTS version of the tantalum polymer capacitors. The T540 is a COTS version of the T525 and the T541 is a COTS version of the T530 (multiple anode). The COTS designation requires more control over design with additional electrical testing.

Next is the surface-mount film capacitors. These are divided by dielectric types: PEN, PET, PPS, and Paper. The PEN are the polyethylene naphthalate with a temperature capability from -55°C to 150°C(125° is standard). These are characterized with dielectric constant of 3.0, minimum thickness of 1.4 um, typical dissipation factor of 0.4%, and a dielectric absorption rating of 1.2%. These include part types with series designations of GMC (boxed SMD), GMW (naked film SMD), and GPC (boxed SMD). More traditional SMD packages are found in the LDE series with chip sizes from 1206 through 6054.

The PET are the polyester film capacitors with a temperature capability of -55°C to 125°C(100°C is standard). These are characterized with dielectric constant of 3.3, minimum thickness of 0.9 um, typical dissipation factor of 0.5%, and a dielectric absorption rating of 0.5%. The MMC collection includes part types with series designations of MMC (boxed SMD) for the surface mount capacitor and MDC ("L" Lead with standoff), MDK (Insertion Lead), and MDS ("L" Lead with minimal standoff) for the DIL surface mount packages.

The PPS are the polyethylene sulfide with a temperature capability from -55°C to 150°C(125° is standard). These are characterized with dielectric constant of 3.0, minimum thickness of 1.2 um, typical dissipation factor of 0.06%, and a dielectric absorption rating of 0.01%. These include part types with series designations of SPC (boxed SMD), SMC (boxed SMD), and SMW (naked film SMD). More traditional SMD packages are found in the LDB series with chip sizes from 1206 through 1812.

CIR File Types:

The metalized Paper types are limited to the single series: SMP253. These are high-voltage capacitors explicitly designed for class Y2 EMI filtering. The voltage rating for these capacitors is 250 VAC, whereas all other capacitor types have their voltage ratings expressed as VDC. There are 7 files in each of these compressed files.
