MLCC for surface mount are not susceptible to damage or electrical change due to varying levels of atmospheric pressure. They consist of a solid, fired block of ceramic and metals, which is resistant to any such conditions. In addition, leaded ceramics (contain an encapsulated MLCC) are also robust.
