Answer :
Moisture Sensitivity Level (MSL) for surface mount components is based on J-STD-020. KEMET’s Tantalum / manganese dioxide surface mount components have an MSL of 1. Leaded tantalum capacitors have not been characterized for MSL, since J-STD-020 applies to surface mount.
