Greenville, South Carolina (February 24, 2006) - KEMET has taken a solid step ahead of the competition with the world's first 4mOhm T530 (Ultra Low ESR/High CV) part type. This ultra low ESR rating coupled with high capacitance, can facilitate piece count and board space reductions! But KEMET's technology team didn't stop there - read on for details regarding additional new conductive polymer offerings. These components are all available in RoHS compliant versions and are capable of meeting 3x reflow at the higher temperature (260C peak) Pb-free profiles!
KEMET now offers a T530X case (7343-43) - 680uF, 4 volts at only 4 mOhm ESR! This marks an industry first for ESR in a conductive polymer part type. This component is ideal for applications that demand superior capacitance retention at high operating frequencies such as high end servers and high speed motherboards. These features result in the lowest total capacitance solution and provide the most economical choice in high power applications.
KEMET has also introduced three new low profile part types that are market leaders in capacitance! These T520W case sizes (7343-15) have a 1.5mm max case profile - critical where height is restricted. These part types range from 68 to 330 mF at 2.5 to 10 volts. These capacitance and voltage combinations are not available from the competition in that low profile case size!
KEMET now offers some of the lowest ESR values available in a T520C case size (6032-28). Three new 25mOhm ESR C case part types have been released from 100 to 220 mF at 2.5 to 6 volts. This smaller footprint can be an advantage where board space is tight!
