Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Testing
and Development Services


KEMET's EMC laboratory in Algutsrum, Sweden is accredited by the Swedish Board for Accreditation and Conformity Assessment (Swedac) for testing in accordance with the most common standards within the EMC area.

The premises have good unloading and loading facilities and the fully screened testing room is large enough for most test objects. For free-field measurements we have a 10 meter long testing hall in the open Öland landscape, an environment with minimum background interference, and with direct connection to our EMC lab.

We can also assist with the following: Equipment and plants that cannot be moved to our EMC lab we carry out testing on-site. One important and appreciated part of our activity is to offer assistance with regards to adapt a product to rules and regulations. That includes all relevant documentations that is required to certify a product, i.e. to mark the product with CE marking.

At the time for EMC testing we can test different solutions of a problem and carry out adjustments to solve the problem and if our customers so wish our production can manufacture customized interference filters. This means great opportunities to both time- and cost savings.



Development

We develop "smart" and cost-effective electric and electronic products, containing the latest in technique to meet customer requirements and expectations in regard to design, function and documentation. We preside over high competence within analogue, digital and microprocessor electronics and within high tension technique. Products cover most types of construction.

When you come to our development department you will be received by people with a deep interest in your product. They have extensive experience of engineering in everything from microcomputers and high tension technique to switch mode technique.

They help you with both simple and qualified engineering solutions within the electrons field. Before we begin with a project for a customer we get together and examine what is necessary for the product to meet set requirements; suitable technique, regulations, environmental standards etc.

Through our close co-operation with Dectron Production and EMC Lab we can guarantee the product will be easy to manufacture and meet EU regulations in regard to CE marking, in which EMC and electrical safety standards are included.

Production

We manufacture electric and electronic products and place emphasis on quality, prices and delivery times. Our manufacturing is rational and production is flexible, which permits manufacturing in both large and small series.

You will find our manufacturing is both flexible and rational and that we welcome all sizes of orders, in both large and small series. We assemble, test and verify both simple and more complicated electrical and electronic apparatus.

One of the areas in which we have specialised is the manufacture of interference filters. Together with our EMC department we can offer you development and manufacture of various purpose designed RFI filters. Our experienced personnel work with both pin assembly and surface assembled products.

A SMD assembly robot figures in our advanced equipment, and we run a very efficient materials planning system (MPS). This allows us to offer you purchasing of materials and the components included in the product.

Filter Series Description

PCR314 Current Converter for running fluorescent tubes 2x18W in airfield lighting series systems up to 6,6Amps.

One unit contains the Converter and the fluorescent tube driver.

Moisture proof since the entire unit is casting in polyurethane.

High efficiency and high Power Factor.

Internal Lamp fault detector which supply a 12Vdc, 50mA output when the two TL tubes is lighting.

PCR317 Current Converter for running fluorescent tubes 2x36W in airfield lighting series systems up to 6,6Amps.

One unit contains the Converter and the fluorescent tube driver.
