Per-Olof Loof, Chief Executive Officer and Director, was named such in April 2005. Mr. Loof was previously the Managing Partner of QuanStar Group LLC, a management consulting firm. Prior to this, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Sensormatic Electronics Corporation and in various management roles with Andersen Consulting, Digital Equipment Corporation, AT&T and NCR. Mr. Loof serves as a board member of GlobalOptions Inc. and Devcon International Corporation. He received a “civilekonom examen” degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.
William M. Lowe, Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, was named such in July 2008. Mr. Lowe was previously the Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and CFO of Unifi, Inc., a producer and processor of textured synthetic yarns. Prior to holding that position, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Metaldyne, an automotive components manufacturer. He also held various financial management positions with ArvinMeritor, Inc., a premier global supplier of integrated automotive components. Mr. Lowe previously served as a former board member of Holley Performance Products, Inc. He received his B.S. degree in business administration with a major in accounting from Tri-State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Chuck Meeks, Jr., Executive Vice President, Solid Capacitor Business Group, Chuck joined KEMET in December 1983 and has served in various manufacturing and organizational leadership roles in the company, including Fountain Inn Plant Manager and Director of Ceramic Operations. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Clemson University. He was promoted to his current position in May 2013.
John Drabik, Senior Vice President – Global Sales & Marketing, was named such in May 2013. He joined KEMET in 1997 as a Sales Trainee in the Company’s sales development program. He has held positions of increasing responsibility in Sales and Product Management since that time, including Sales Representative, District Manager, Product Manager – Ceramic SMD, Director, Product Line Management, Ceramic, and, just prior to the appointment to his current position, Vice President – Sales, Americas. Mr. Drabik holds a Bachelor of Science in Management with a Minor in Marketing from Purdue University.
Dr. Phil Lessner, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, joined KEMET in 1996 as a Technical Associate in the Tantalum Technology Group. He has held several positions of increased responsibility in the Technology and Product Management areas, including Senior Technical Associate, Director of Tantalum Technology, Director of Technical Marketing Services, and Vice President of Tantalum Technology prior to the appointment to his current position in February 2013. Dr. Lessner received a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from Cooper Union.
Dr. Richard M. Vosburgh, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer was named such in February 2013. He originally joined KEMET in May 2011 as Vice President, Talent & Organizational Effectiveness and Chief Talent Development Officer. Richard brings broad, diverse and global experience as a specialist in talent and organizational effectiveness and as a senior HR generalist in some of the most respected companies, including PepsiCo and The Gallup Organization. His HP experience included living in Singapore with HR responsibility for 14 countries in Asia Pacific; and his VW experience included living in Germany with Customer Satisfaction responsibility throughout Europe. He was most recently SVP-HR for Mirage Resorts within MGM Resorts International and helped open CityCenter in Las Vegas. His Ph.D. is in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of South Florida.
R. James Assaf, Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, joined KEMET in March 2008. Prior to joining KEMET, Mr. Assaf served as General Manager for InkSure Inc., a start-up seller of product authentication solutions. He had also previously held several positions with Sensormatic Electronics Corporation, including Associate General Counsel and Director of Business Development, Mergers & Acquisitions. Mr. Assaf received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Kenyon College and his Juris Doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
Susan B. Barkal, Vice President, Chief of Staff, Quality and Chief Compliance Officer, has served as Vice President of Quality and Chief Compliance Officer since December 2008. Prior to joining KEMET, Susan previously worked at Nalco Chemical Company as a Sales Engineer and at General Dynamics as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. She joined KEMET in November 1999, and has served as Quality Manager for the Tantalum Business Group, Technical Product Manager for all Tantalum product lines and Director of Tantalum Product Management. Susan received her BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University and her MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic University.
Dr. Johnny Boan, Vice President, Marketing, was named as such in June 2012. A KEMET employee since 1980, he has held positions in Operations, Quality, Product Management, Acquisitions, Integration, Sales and Marketing. Johnny holds a BS in Chemistry from Presbyterian College, an AS from Greenville Technical College, a MBA from University of Texas-Brownsville, and a MS from Eastern Michigan University. In addition, Johnny is a graduate of the first KEMET Leadership Forum class of 2007.
Brian Burch, Vice President and Chief Information Officer, joined KEMET in 1996 and has held multiple jobs of increasing responsibility in the Corporate IT group since joining the company. Prior to starting his KEMET career, he worked at Enterprise Electric and Fluor Daniel. Brian has a BS degree in Computer Science from Bob Jones University and has earned his MBA from Southern Wesleyan University. In addition, he is a graduate of the first KEMET Leadership Forum Class of 2007.
Graeme Dorkings, Vice President – Sales, Global Distribution was named such in July 2013. He joined KEMET in 1997 as a sales representative in England. He then moved to the U.S. for 4 years as a Distribution Account Manager. In 2004, he moved back to England as Director of Distribution Sales for Europe and in 2010 he moved to Hong Kong as Director of Distribution Sales for Asia. In September of 2012, Graeme moved back to the U.S. as Senior Director, Global Distribution Sales. He is a graduate of KEMET’s 2008 Leadership Forum.
Monica Highfill, Vice President – Sales, Americas, joined KEMET in 2008, most recently as Director - Sales, Americas West. Prior to that, she was a Sales executive with Force Electronics, Avnet and Time Electronics. Monica has a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Saint Mary’s College of California and an MBA from Santa Clara University. She is a 2011 graduate of the KEMET Leadership Forum.
Claudio Lollini, Vice President, Sales – Asia/Pacific, was named such in May 2013. Claudio joined Arcotronics as a Manager – Sales, Taiwan in 2005 and became a part of the KEMET team during the acquisition in 2009. Since 2005, he has been an integral part of the Asia Sales Team and has provided significant contributions and customer relationships in the Asian market. During his tenure with the company, Claudio has held positions of increasing responsibility in Sales and Product Management. Claudio received his BS degree in Engineering Management from the University of Bologna. He is a 2011 graduate of the KEMET Leadership Forum.
Andreas Meier, Vice President, Sales – EMEA, was named such in November 2012. Mr. Meier joined KEMET in January 1998. He most recently served as Vice President, Product Management, Film & Electrolytics Business Group. Mr. Meier holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Paderborn in Germany and has strong experience in the electronics, automotive and telecommunications industries.
John Powers, Vice President, Ceramic Products, was named such in June 2012. He joined KEMET in June 1980 and has served in various roles of increased responsibility in Operations, Product Management, and Technical Sales, including Ceramic Process Engineering Manager, Ceramic Operations Manager, Vice President Ceramic Product Management, and Vice President Technical Sales and Business Development. Mr. Powers holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic Engineering from Clemson University.
Stefano Vetralla, Vice President, Human Resources, Global Operations, joined KEMET in May 2008 as Director – HR, FEBG and in 2011 he took over additional responsibilities for supporting Global Sales, Ceramic and Tantalum BGs. He was promoted to Senior Director in November 2012 when he became responsible for all KEMET international operations outside of the US. Previous to KEMET, he held HR positions of increasing international responsibilities in companies such as HP, 3COM, Telecom and Telindus/Belgacom. His Bachelor’s degree in Law is from the State University of Milan. He was a Club of Excellence winner in 2010 and is a graduate of the KEMET Leadership Forum 2011.
Bob Willoughby, Vice President, Film and Electrolytic Business Group, was named such in May 2013. Mr. Willoughby was most recently Vice President – Operations, Film and Electrolytic Business Group and joined KEMET in 1985 as a Diagnostic Engineering Technician. Through the years, he moved up through Quality Engineer, Process Engineer, Group Leader, Manager and Director of Process Engineering. He became Director and then Vice President of Operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Clemson University and is a 2007 graduate of the KEMET Leadership Forum.
