| Greenville, South Carolina (June 16, 2006) – KEMET Corporation (NYSE: KEM) today announced the expansion of its surface mount Multi-Layer Ceramic Capacitor portfolio with the introduction of Extended Capacitance Values in an EIA 0402 case size ceramic chip. KEMET continues to broaden and enhance its Ceramic portfolio with the introduction of new industry leading capacitance values. The new Extended Capacitance Values are offered in a C0G (NPO) dielectric and range from 120 to 330 picofarads in a 50 Volt rated capacitor. Capacitors have 100% pure Matte Tin (Sn) plated terminations for good solderability and are RoHS compliant.
These components are designed to provide circuit functions of critical timing and tuning in applications that would include mobile communication equipment, automotive electrical circuits, and power supply circuits. Newest capacitance values are available in J (±5%) tolerance.
