| Greenville, South Carolina (June 28, 2006) - KEMET Corporation (NYSE:KEM) will hold its Annual Shareholders’ Meeting on July 26, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. ET, at the Palmetto Expo Center, One Exposition Avenue, Room 102-C, Greenville, South Carolina. The meeting will also be broadcast over the internet and can be accessed at http://www.kemet.com/ir. A replay of the meeting will be available until August 9, 2006, through the same link.
On July 26, 2006, at 8:00 a.m. ET, the Company will release earnings for the June 2006 quarter and will hold a conference call to discuss the earnings release at 9:00 a.m. ET on that date.
