| Greenville, South Carolina (December 19, 2005) - KEMET continues to grow our T495 low ESR, surge robust tantalum capacitor line with four new low ESR options, and answers market demand for a high cap/low ESR 20volt T510X part type! Also read on for details on new high capacitance, small case size part types!
- We have added three new T491/4 part types: T49xB227/004, T49xA685/020 and T49xA475/025! These low profile, small footprint components are ideal for PDA's, DSC's and other consumer electronic devices where space is restricted. The 220uF, 4 volt part type is a capacitance leader in the market place in a B case footprint (3528-21)! The high voltage A case part types can be used on the input side of power supplies, and help solve common "noise" problems associated with ceramics.
- Fourteen new low ESR T495 part types are now available in C (6032-28), D(7343-31) and E(7360-38) case sizes. These new releases range from 2.2 to 330uF and 4 to 25 volts! KEMET's low ESR T495 series offers was designed for applications with high surge current potential such as DC/DC converters and output filtering on power supplies. - KEMET has also introduced a new 100uF, 20volt T510X (7343-43) part type! This 40mOhm device is a good fit for switch mode power supply filtering, as well as power decoupling for high speed microprocessors.
- These new releases are available with either tin/lead (Sn/Pb) terminations or RoHS compliant (Pb-free) finishes, and are capable of meeting the 260C peak Pb-free profiles - 3 passes!
