| Greenville, South Carolina (May 15, 2006) - KEMET Corporation (NYSE: KEM) today announced the launch of its new established reliability series T409, T419, and T429 qualified to MIL-PRF-55365/4 & /11, Styles CWR09, CWR19, and CWR29. These new additions establish KEMET as the premier supplier of defense and aerospace components with the most complete Qualified Product's List (QPL) of any capacitor manufacturer in the world.
These three new military approved series offer 100% Surge Current testing as an option for all case sizes, along with Weibull grading (B, C and D levels). The initial release is comprised of components with rated voltages from 4 to 35 volts. Each series is offered in nine case sizes (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and X).
Typical applications for these new capacitors are decoupling, bypass, filtering, and R-C timing circuits. Lead times are eight to ten weeks, depending on the specific testing options requested.
