| Greenville, South Carolina (September 1, 2006) – KEMET Corporation (NYSE: KEM) today announced the expansion of their commercial surface-mount multilayer ceramic capacitor portfolio with the extension of capacitance values in the X7R dielectric. These extended values range from .022 to 10 microfarads and are offered in EIA 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206, and 1210 case sizes in rated voltages of 6.3 to 50 volts. Capacitors are available in tolerances of K (±10%) and M (±20%). All are RoHS compliant with 100% pure matte tin-plated terminations for excellent solderability.
These components are designed to provide circuit functions in bypass, coupling, decoupling and frequency discrimination circuit applications in devices such as gaming consoles, laptops, desktops, power supplies, digital cameras, and various automotive and telecommunications applications.
The operating temperature range of X7R capacitors is between -55°C and +125°C, with zero bias capacitance shift limited to ±15% over those ranges.
