KEMET NetList Files - S_Parameter
These models use the Touchstone formatting guides to create a frequency listing of magnitude (db) and phase (degrees) for the transmission and reflection measurements from a two-port network analyzer: S11, S12, S21, and S22. Because they contain an extended frequency listing, the individual files are much larger then the NetList (.ckt) files, and the number of compressed files is larger to keep these file sizes small for downloading. There is also a measurement for the Shunt and Series connection configurations.
Shown here is one file displayed in Notepad® of a 'shunt' connected device ('series' mode is selectable in KEMET Spice). There are 299 lines of data covering 6 decades of frequency (top 5 and bottom 4 are shown but rest were removed for brevity). The line impedance is 50 ohms (Zi = Zo = 50 Ohms, and this is selectable in KEMET Spice between 50 and 75 ohms).

The files are collected in groups and compressed in Zip files. The 1st group consists of the ceramic or MLCC part types “C####” including CA064 (single elements in 4-Capacitor 0612 Array), C0201, C0402, C0603, C0805, C1206, C1210, C1812, C1825, C2220, and C2225. Each of these groups includes all dielectrics: C0G, X5R, X7R, Y5V, and Z5U, where applicable. The KPS series are X7R of C1210, C1812, and C2220 sizes. The "DSCC CDR" are modles for the military SMD DSCC 03028 and 03029 chips and the CDR0 and CDR3 chip series.
Here are the shunt configuration files for the ceramic surface-mount chip capaacitors:

And these are the series configuration files for the ceramic surface-mount chip capacitors.

The aluminum-polymer capacitor files are contained in a separate zip file (shunt and series):

The tantalum SMD capacitors are in compressed files according to family of parts. The Tantalum Commercial includes T491 (base commercial), another tantalum commercial T494 (Low ESR by test), T495 (Low ESR by design), T496 (fused fail-safe), T497 (high reliability), T498 (+150°C), T499 (+175°C), and T510 (ultra-low ESR with multiple anodes).

Here are the series:

Tantalum Military files include T409 (CWR09), T419 (CWR19), and T429 (CWR29), T492 (CWR11), and T493 (COTS).

Here are the series:

Tantalum-polymer families include T520 (tantalum-polymer to +105°C), T521 (higher voltage >16Vdc), T525 (high temp +125°C), T528 (low ESL facedown), and T530 (ultra-low ESR).

Most recently added is the surface-mount film capacitors. These are divided by dielectric types: PEN, PET, PPS, and Paper. The PEN are the polyethylene naphthalate with a temperature capability from -55°C to 150°C(125° is standard). These are characterized with dielectric constant of 3.0, minimum thickness of 1.4 um, typical dissipation factor of 0.4%, and a dielectric absorption rating of 1.2%. These include part types with part number designations of GMC, GMW, GPC, and LDE.
Shunt and series:

The PET are the polyester film capacitors with a temperature capability of -55°C to 125°C(100°C is standard). These are characterized with dielectric constant of 3.3, minimum thickness of 0.9 um, typical dissipation factor of 0.5%, and a dielectric absorption rating of 0.5%. These include part types with part type designations of MMC for the surface mount capacitor and MDC, MDK, and MDS for the DIL surface mount packages.
Shunt and series:

The PPS are the polyethylene sulfide with a temperature capability from -55°C to 150°C(125° is standard). These are characterized with dielectric constant of 3.0, minimum thickness of 1.2 um, typical dissipation factor of 0.06%, and a dielectric absorption rating of 0.01%. These include part types with part type designations of LDB, SPC, SMC, and SMW.
Shunt and series:

The metalized Paper types are limited to the single series: SMP253. These are high-voltage capacitors explicitly designed for class Y2 EMI filtering. The voltage rating for these capacitors is 250 VAC, whereas all other capacitor types have their voltage ratings expressed as VDC. There are 7 files in this compressed file.
